Course Overview

RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights provides the skills and knowledge required to work safely at height in a range of industries including construction, mining, maintenance, and infrastructure. This course focuses on identifying fall hazards, selecting appropriate control measures, and using height safety equipment in accordance with workplace and legislative requirements.

What You'll Learn

Upon completion, students will be able to identify risks associated with working at heights and implement effective control measures to prevent falls. Graduates will be competent in selecting, inspecting, and using height safety equipment, as well as following safe work procedures and responding to emergency situations.

  • Identifying hazards and risks when working at heights
  • Understanding hierarchy of controls for fall prevention
  • Selecting and using fall protection equipment (harnesses, lanyards, anchor points)
